Some people like classical stuff, others don’t, but I always thought this particular number typified the best of the gifted man who died at age 35, 220 years ago. It is so highly skilled and demanding to perform, yet the music itself is playful in an endearing, child-like fashion. No one did the violin like Wolfgang. He made it dance:
