It seems to resonate with some of what our astute commenter Andrew MacDonald was saying over the weekend.
One thing about this that interests me is that of course England had a central bank even when the gold standard was fully operational. I think I would prefer that central banks be abolished entirely under a gold standard.
But I’m open to arguments pro and con.
