This is one of the reasons that cops get justifiably nervous about any kind of physical contact. It is also one of the reasons that most cops, most of the time, should be unarmed. Detroit is no exception.
Not that that argument is going anywhere soon.
This is another reason cops should maybe be mostly unarmed, but not as serious.
