Super, it made me smile. Great visual montage of then and now – simple but effective. But why did you put “careers” in inverted commas? Do I detect a hint of cynicism?? Were not all these women pretty stellar? Do only women “brood”? One of them did say that you don’t often hear men ruminating on how they are going to balance career and family….. Kudos to these women.
No, it’s a broader issue. Or maybe a separate issue. It seemed to be the focus of that New York Times piece, and the women portrayed in it, so that’s why I mentioned it.

No offense intended on the career thing. We just comment frequently on careerism over here, and how it is a factor in systemic abuses.
